The tutors’ passion in photography and teaching are great elements in making this class an effective one to all who wants to learn about photography, regardless how much you know or do not know about photography.
It’s a well worth the investment of my weekend and I am happy to say that I can use my camera more effectively, coupled with seeing things through the lens and from a different perspective. Photography is clearly a form of art, but the course combines technicality of equipment (explained in simple terms with practical examples) and explains how simple it is to create beautiful, captivating, strong images if you know how to combine the few basic elements of photography.
I just wanted to say that I went straight on holiday after my lesson, which gave me a great opportunity to practice what I learnt!
I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson, and still can’t quite believe the amount I learnt in three hours. The improvement in my photos after just one session has been incredible. That said, it also made me realise how little I know, so I will definitely do another course when I can find some time.

I dont think it would be possible to find a more energetic, knowledgeable and passionate teacher. His patience and enthusiasm over our 2 day intermediate course has allowed me to evolve into a confident photographer.
My only concern is that I won’t find enough time in between work to experiment with all the new tricks and techniques that I learnt.

There are many digital photography courses in London and as a part-time summer vacation student, it is often difficult to select a good course and time.I am very fortunate to have chosen Photoion Photography School for a beginner’s course as not only is it led by a highly experienced and enthusiastic photographer (who has already produced a superb portfolio of work), the course is short and combines strong theory with practical elements.
I greatly enjoyed learning the features of my Nikon D90 DSLR and they were happy to take any questions I had and respond promptly and accuratelly. They offer constructive feedback on how to improve and take the next step forward.
An affordable course that offers great value for money and would definitely be worth coming back to again. Highly recommended.
I recently completed a 1-day 1:1 session (birthday gift from my wife) following the 2-day course that I attended last summer.
We spent approx 3 hrs and it was awesome! I had recently purchased a new Canon and was shown many of the features and settings, as we spent time snapping the scenery, ancient trees and wildlife in action – we got some fantastic shots even though the weather was fairly gloomy!
More than anything, my tutor helped me to see things that I perhaps wouldn’t have noticed on my own, how to compose pictures before starting and many different tips regarding shade, light, shutter speed and composition.
I would highly recommend them for one-to-one sessions and general photography courses. Courses that offer great value for money.
If you have ever had even the slightest interest in Photography or taking photos, then you MUST attend the Introduction and Intermediate Photography courses. I attended the Introduction course about a month ago not knowing anything about Digital SLR cameras or photography in general, having only used my iPhone to take photos.The Introduction course was brilliant in terms of getting you to understand all the basics and fundamentals of SLR photography. The Intermediate course takes you to a completely different level in leaps and bounds. Wow… My brain is still reeling from the wealth of information, knowledge and experience hared in the course.
They show you the difference between taking a shot and taking a magic shot and this is exactly what I wanted to learn. On these courses, you learn the techniques and start to develop the eye to look for these magic shots. Now I am starting to take photos that I can be proud of and having loads of fun in the process. I cannot begin to express how pleased I am that I booked on these courses – I have had so much fun learning and experimenting with the camera. I have already recommended this course to all my friends and I would not hesitate recommending it to more people.
I loved the course, for me, by far and away the most important aspect was the opportunity to meet a real photographer.
And a better understanding of the possibilities is the creative aspect that interests me the most and through honing the skills of the camera you twist, slide and massage everything to make the best of the 3 dimensional space and its contents. This is manipulation but of the greatest kind, to tease out the hidden gems of raw visual beauty from the apparent mundane.
I’m looking forward to the advanced course! I highly recommend these Photography courses.
Thank you for the 2 days you dedicated to teaching us photography basics. I knew some of the stuff you taught us, but I like photography so much that I wanted to make sure I knew all I had to know, and that I knew it right!
Where I really made progress is in the relationship between the 3 settings by the use of Stops. I can’t believe I didn’t know that! Meaning that you were right, it’s not all in the books I feel much more confident to using the camera, even to do creative random shots, I start to see the possibilities a camera can offer, I start seeing through a camera lens, and that’s because of your ability to teach, but also to pass-on your passion, and it feels!

I attended the beginners’ course and I found the tutor professional and knowledgeable about everything in photography being able to explain question clearly while adapting to the individual needs. I found all aspects of the course very helpful.

It was definitely one of the most exciting and challenging course I’ve ever done. Creativity and impromptu photography in such a short course is extremely rare.

I attended the beginners’ course which I found really enjoyable; the lesson really helped me to understand the “photography world” better and gave me all I needed to take the first step into photography and understanding my DSLR camera.

I attended the beginner’s course which was very informative and educational. I suffer from dyslexia but I found the course to be very clear and easy to follow and very well structured. I learnt a great deal about photography especially about the camera features.
