I am so pleased I choose to do an introduction course to photography with Ion. The course has exceeded all my expectations and Ion’s passion and enthusiasm has certainly rubbed off on me. I just took a photography course with Ion and I really appreciated that the training time was flexible and there was time enough to answer all out questions without rush. The course was really very well planned and structured and I was really happy with the way the course was managed. Ion was knowledgeable and so enthusiastic while he managed to give everyone enough individual attention. Thanks a lot for a fabulous course, it was excellent fun and I learnt loads. Putting it all into practice and really getting to grips with things will be the real test, of course. Having looked through the practice pictures from the weekend there are a couple in there that seem to have a certain quality to them I’ve never noticed before. Almost as if some new and fundamental elements have cropped in somehow, although it’s hard to put your finger on what it is exactly – here’s hoping it might lead to great pictures in time, as long as I practice my backside off :-)
Will put in the work, and if I ever reach that proverbial next level will def see you at next course!

Ion, I love your teaching style which I found very interactive; your passion, expressivity and imagination has encouraged me to continue to pursue my interest in photography by learning and practicing. I did a course with Photoion and it was a fabulous experience. Ion is passionate about photography and London and seeing the world in a different way. I took some beautiful photos under Ion’s careful tuition which impressed all my friends and family and which I am giving as Christmas presents this year. The course was a great laugh, I had so much fun and I got to see London from an entirely different perspective. Ion’s passion and positive attitude are so infectious and he renewed my love and wonder of London. Highly recommended.
Ion has enough energy for 3! So even when you feel a little low in energy, he pops you up just by looking intensely at you. He really loves this subject and he takes you into the world of photography and you click the shutter even when your fingers are numb from the cold. I really appreciated the 1:1 support given to everyone. I also love that Ion follows up after the course to ensure you keep practicing. I do not own a camera yet so I was so happy that that Ion has provided me wit equipment (camera, lenses, tripod, etc.) to practice with during the course. Ion, I am and my head buzzing with all that have happened in the last 2 days. I feel I have been in another world and your passion for the Subject matches the way I have always felt photography should be handled. I can’t get you and your aliveness out of my mind and I don’t want to. The image will be with me as I start my life journey in photography. Thank you for the opportunity. I will keep in touch. Ion, thank you for the 2 days you dedicated to teaching us photography basics. I knew some of the stuff you taught us, but I like photography so much that I wanted to make sure I knew all I had to know, and that I knew it right! Where I really made progress is in the relationship between the 3 settings by the use of Stops. I can’t believe I didn’t know that! Meaning that you were right, it’s not all in the books 😉 I feel much more confident to using the camera, even to do creative random shots, I start to see the possibilities a camera can offer, I start seeing through a camera lens, and that’s because of your ability to teach, but also to pass-on your passion, and it feels! Thank you so much again. Highly recommended!
I attended Ion’s beginners’ course and I found Ion professional and knowledgeable about everything in photography being able to explain question clearly while adapting to the individual needs. I found all aspects of the course very helpful. I definitely progressed to a higher level and I am very satisfied with the course and the trainer style. An excellent course! Highly recommended!
It was definitely one of the most exciting and challenging course I’ve ever done. Creativity and impromptu photography in such a short course is extremely rare. I found Ion on internet and choose his course because all the testimonials claimed he was passionate and energetic about photography. This is absolute true and the best thing about it is that trough his teaching style he was able to portray this effectively and instil in us the same passion for creativity using photography. I attended Ion’s beginner’s course which was very informative and educational. Ion’s passion was evident. I suffer from dyslexia but I found the course to be very clear and easy to follow and very well structured. I learnt a great deal about photography especially about the camera features. An excellent course with great examples and held in a friendly atmosphere; everybody enjoyed. I enjoyed so much the course, overall a five star course. Highly recommended!
I attended the beginner course and I can say that, despite I was a Nikon user and Ion is a Canon user I was impressed of Ion’s extensive knowledge of cameras. Ion’s explanations were very helpful while leaving excellent clarity. Wherever I had a question it was answered very promptly and clearly. A very good structure of the course with excellent time management and trainer style. Going out the second day and applying the skills we learnt in the first day was very helpful and loads of fun. A great course, highly recommended!

I’ve always found it so hard to concentrate but Ion helped me switched on the whole course! I attended Ion’s beginner’s course which was very enjoyable. I am new in photography and bought the camera a couple of weeks before the course. I was struggling to understand all the settings of the camera and the complicate concepts in photography. Now is much clearer what I have to do and I feel really confident in handling my camera. Ion’s knowledge always felt thorough but was never too lofty that beginners couldn’t understand; excellent ability to convey knowledge with enthusiasm, understanding and good humour when necessary. Explanations step-by-step of all technical aspects; really thorough and well presented slides with warmth, energy and good people skills; all aspects for starting in digital photography covered; opportunity to broaden knowledge trough answering questions. I attended a 1:1 beginner course with Ion and I now feel very comfortable in handling my DSLR camera and have become aware of many different aspects which I have preciously just ignored or did not now of. The practice day was a load of fun, applying all the techniques learnt in the previous day, especially with all opportunities on the South Bank. The course was a priceless experience. The lesson was interesting, intriguing and funny as well; everything was extremely helpful but in particular Ion’s responsiveness.
